Swimming Success

On the 17th of March 2016 Crwys Primary School attended the Oakleigh House swimming gala at the National Pool. The 1st race was the freestyle relay race (Every race was a relay race). All our teams came first in the freestyle race . The 2nd race was the kick board race also both of our teams came first in that. The 3rd race was the backstroke race again both of our teams came 1st in that as well with a roaring race for Jessica Dickinson.

After that we had a 10 minute break to re-energise. Then we got back into it with a very complicating t-shirt race. Which the boys won but the girls came 3rd. Last of all we did a mixed relay which was our strongest race lapping each team.

Football Matches Report

On Friday Crwys Primary`s boys A football team played three matches at Mynydd Newydd .

The first game was against Mayals . All of us were very nervous an unfortunately after about five minutes into the match Mayals scored a goal!!!

Crwys felt really annoyed and fought for a precious goal. Suddenly Crwys right wing Tyler scored a wonderful goal! The team were happy.

After the goal one of the Mayals players took a great shot but Lewis performed an amazing save to end the game at a draw of 1-1.

The second game was against Clydach and Crwys had high hopes that they would win. At the start of the game Crwys had a corner. George took it and Osian headed the ball straight at the post. Crwys had loads of chances but just couldn`t score. Then, in the last minute of the match and Clydach's fastest player sprinted down the pitch and scored. So Crwys lost 1-0.

Finally Crwys took on the mighty Ynystawe who were a very good side having won all of their games so far. Both teams had lots of chances but unfortunately there were no goals at all. Crwys drew 0-0.

Despite no victories a great day of football was had by all and our team spirit is great.
